I have never had a desire to go to Israel until about a year ago and it become almost like a small flame on the inside of me. I began to sow into other peoples trips. I so enjoyed hearing what the Lord had done with some of the people and others shared nothing with me about their trip. I woke up one morning and something on the inside of me knew that I would soon be going to Israel. I was so blessed to be able to go to Israel this year 2012.
How do you explain the chosen place where God chose to dwell with His chosen people? Its a land of many contrasts. So much is happening in such a small country. There are such power struggles going on over there. Such beauty and such stark ungliness all wrapped up on one very amaizng country called Israel. I would for my words to be able to take you there in the spirit but I truly belive that every person needs at some time to go to Israel. To connect there with the God of Israel, with their God, with your God in a new and amazing way. It will forever change the way you see and hear things. The country is so small but has so many things happening in it. Such amazing businesses. great people with such great hearts. They are so willing to share who they are and what they do with others. They are a people who truly live and do what the Bible says.
While we were there we went to many places. To several places of worship that was just over the top. Worshiping in Israel takes you to a whole new level of worship. You can just get lost in the worship there. There are seveal places in Jerusalem that are so amazing. We went to the City of David. We saw many museums that recorded the history of Jesus and what He did while walking in the earth. We swam in the Dea Sea was baptized in the Jordon River and worshiped on a boat on the Sea of Galilee. We worshiped at Mount Carmel and it was so very amazing. We could hear the angels singing with us while we worshiped. We went to the Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Church of All Nations, Bethlehem, and Yad Vashem. We went to the Jerusalem Time Elevator and it was so neat the seats moved like you were really traveling back through time. It would of been great to get a print out of the actual time line that we traveled through.
We went to the Western Wall, the Jewish Quarter and Roman Cardo on to Mt.Zion, Shiloh, to Hebron, Mt Moriah and the Teomple Mount, walked on the Bia Dolorosa and we planted an olive tree in the Neot Kedimim.
The Hotels there are so beautiful. They had very nice rooms with great food. We were fed in the mornings and in the evenings. It was so interesting to eat their foods and see what they ate. I truly enjoyed some of the different types of food.
There was an amazing mixture of people who went on the tour. It was called V. I. P. Ministry Leaders Israel Tour 2012. I met some amaizng people while I was there and so enjoyed visiting with each and every one of them. Some had been there many times and others like myself it was their first time in Israel. Its such a beautiful country with amazing people. I just feel in love with it all and my heart did not want to come home. I felt like I was home while I was there.
The experiances that happened with each of us was so unique and such a blessing. Each person on the trip had some type of an encounter with the Lord in one way or another. It was interesting to set back and watch as the Lord moved in and out of our midst and touched each person life in such beautiful ways.
There are so many things to tell you but it is hard also. Its hard to pull back the memories of all that happened in a 14 day trip that was so chocked full of amazing people, places and things to see and do. Another place we visited was the Holocost Museum. It sure did open my eyes to some things I did not realize as I walked through and saw the pictures of the people who were being led to be slaughtered. First you just can not imangine anyone doing that but it was right there in front of us. At times I cried seeing the children and their broken hearts. How so many Nations could turn away from the Jews is just heart breaking to me.
In Shiloh we were introduced to a Rabbi David Rubin. He talked to us about the school there that had 800 children who where tramuatized and they were helping each of them come through into freedom. They have a petting zoo or area for the children to learn to love again. So much is happening in Shiloh, if you pray please keep them in your prayers daily they so need it.
The final day came and we had a full day of going to several sights and then a farwale dinner in Jaffa. It was sad parting with people you were beginning to become friends with but it was also good to be coming home to my family here in the States.
I would encourage each and everyone of you to at some point in your life time to consider to travel to Israel. Its am amaizng country with so much to offer each and every person.
Pray for the peace of Israel and for protection for the people there. May God bless Israel, His chosen land and His chosen peoples.
Much love n blesings to you all. Vickie
